What's changed in the new ShareGate experience

A guide to the unified navigation, Home page, Migrate access, and Workspace settings changes rolling out across ShareGate.

ShareGate Protect and ShareGate Migrate now share one unified navigation and Home experience. This article walks you through what's changed.

Note: This experience rolls out gradually across workspaces. If yours still looks different, you'll see the update soon.

One shared navigation

ShareGate Protect, and ShareGate Home used to have separate navigation and headers. They now share the same navigation and header, so moving between them is more natural.

For a full breakdown of the shared navigation, see ShareGate Home overview and ShareGate Protect overview.

A redesigned Home page

The Home page previously offered quick links to open ShareGate Migrate or ShareGate Protect. It's now a personalized landing page that adapts based on what you've already set up and includes a Governance snapshot section with an at-a-glance view of your tenant's governance health.

See ShareGate Home overview for details.

Migrate lives in the sidebar

You used to be able to download or open ShareGate Migrate by clicking a card on the Home page. You'll now find Migrate directly in the sidebar menu, available from anywhere in ShareGate.

See Start using ShareGate for the updated steps.

Workspace settings moved to the sidebar

Workspace settings used to live under your workspace name in a dropdown menu. It's now a Workspace settings item in the sidebar.
