ShareGate Provisioning templates are a great way to ensure your colleagues have the optimal settings when creating teams and SharePoint sites. Requiring approval ensures an appropriate template approver has the final word on Microsoft workspace creation when using a specific template.
Note: You can enable approval when creating a new team creation template or SharePoint site template, or modifying an existing template.

Considerations
ShareGate's end-user app uses your application permissions to create teams. That means ShareGate app will be the team creator in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Graph API for all teams created via provisioning templates.
Requestors can view the status of their request from the end-user app.
As an admin, you can see all your environment's template team and SharePoint site creation requests from the Provisioning page's Approval requests tab.
Approval and request actions appear in your activity log for team creation only for now.
