When trying to copy a workflow, Sharegate displays the following error message:

The list "{ca0753ea-1cb1-4c00-bf46-52d5d5a66839}" is required for this workflow and cannot be found at the source.

This error occurs when Sharegate tries to copy a workflow that references another list. For example, it might be through an action that creates an item in another list.

The error means that the list referenced by the workflow cannot be found in the source site. Unfortunately, the workflow normally only contains the ID of the list that it references and not its name, which is why Sharegate cannot give you the name of the list in those cases.

This error is most likely due to the fact that the list existed when the workflow was created, but the list was deleted after the workflow was published. This caused the workflow to become invalid.

Edit your source workflow to remove or update the references to the list that does not exist anymore. If the workflow already seems to be valid, you can simply re-publish it and this will often fix any broken reference in the workflow's definition.

Once the workflow is fixed and re-published at the source, you can retry the migration.
