Details

When trying to import from an Excel document with Google Drive as a source, you need to provide an Excel file that was created from a Google Drive source. If you try to use one made from a SharePoint site, it will fail causing one of the above messages to appear. You also cannot import an Excel file that was created without the administrator mode when connected as an admin.

Solution

Make sure the file you are trying to import really comes from Google Drive, and make sure you have not deleted any "internal columns". These columns are explained in the article detailing the process of importing with an Excel file.

Here is the part about the columns that you should not modify:

The column names "SourcePath", "DestinationPath", "Version", "ContentType", "Author", "Created", "Editor", "Modified", "ApprovalStatus", "ApprovalComments", "CheckinComments", "GoogleDriveFileId" and "GoogleDriveRevisionId" should not be modified as these represent system columns that are used for special purposes.

If you have not modified these columns, you should try re-exporting your Excel file to make sure the file is valid for importing. You need to make sure that you are exporting the file in the same mode (administrator or normal) as the mode in which you are importing.
