Use ShareGate Migrate to copy Microsoft Teams private chats from a source tenant to a destination tenant. Copy private chats is available only with PowerShell.
How copying private chats works
You choose the users whose chats you want to copy, map them from the source tenant to the destination tenant, set your copy options, and then run the copy. Each step has its own cmdlet.
Cmdlets
Get-ChatUser finds the users whose chats you want to copy.
Export-UserMappings and Import-UserMappings create and load the file that maps source users to destination users.
New-ChatCopyOptions sets the options for the copy, such as the start date of the chats.
Copy-Chat runs the copy.
