Review your workspaces

How workspace owners sign in and complete a delegated review in ShareGate Protect.

You received an email asking you to review one or more workspaces you own in ShareGate Protect. This article walks you through signing in and completing your review. You don't need a ShareGate account.

Open your review

  1. In the review email, select the link to open the reviewer hub. Each email lists all the workspaces assigned to you.

  2. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account. ShareGate Protect uses single sign-on, so there's no separate account to create.

The reviewer hub shows the workspaces assigned to you. Each one lists its type, member count, guest count, and review status: Not started or In progress.

Review a workspace

Select a workspace to open it. The tabs you see depend on what your admin asked you to review.

  • Lifecycle: Choose whether to Keep, Archive, or Delete the workspace. Select a reason and add an optional note. A confirmation dialog shows what happens before you confirm.

  • Guests: Review the guest users who have access, along with their domain, permission level, and last active date. Remove anyone who no longer needs access, one at a time or in bulk.

  • External Links: Review the sharing links for the workspace. Remove any that shouldn't stay, one at a time or in bulk.

Note: If you select Archive or Delete in the Lifecycle tab, the other tabs lock because the workspace will be removed. They stay visible so you can still see their details.

Submit your review

When you finish, select Close as reviewed. A confirmation dialog shows how many changes are queued and how many items you left unchanged. Your actions take effect as soon as you submit.

Note: If you share ownership of a workspace, the first owner to submit completes the review for everyone. After a workspace is reviewed, the other owners no longer see it in their hub.

If the review has closed

Each review has a deadline set by your admin. After the deadline passes, the page shows This review has closed and you can no longer submit changes. Contact your admin if you still need to make changes.
