Microsoft and ShareGate both allow IT admins to characterize the teams and groups in their tenant based on security needs such as data protection, accessibility, and external sharing.
The table below shows the differences between Microsoft's sensitivity labels and ShareGate's sensitivity tags.
Index
ShareGate sensitivity tags
ShareGate's sensitivity tags help you quickly understand the data sensitivity of teams and groups, apply appropriate security settings, and keep your data secure.
You can apply sensitivity tags manually or let owners assign the right sensitivity tags for their teams and groups.
Create your sensitivity tag options, then activate our Teams chatbot, so notifications are automatically sent to owners when they make a new team or group. From the notification, owners can choose the sensitivity tag that best matches how they intend to use that team or group --- keeping you informed.
Apply a custom external sharing review recurrence to your sensitivity tags so external sharing links and guest access are reviewed at a rate appropriate to the security needs of each team and group.
