With ShareGate, you can set up and automate the External sharing review policy and create custom reviews for sensitivity tags. Team and group owners are asked to review external sharing links and guest access on schedule.

For teams or groups that need another look, use the Ask owner(s) feature to manually send a review.

A team or group can only be part of 1 review at a time. For example, if a team or group is part of a review for a sensitivity tag, they cannot also be sent an Ask owner(s) review.

The current review needs to be completed before another review can be done.

An external sharing review lasts for 14 days from the day it started, meaning that owners have 14 days to review and remove the external sharing links and guests in their teams and groups.

A review is complete if all owners have performed their reviews or if 14 days have passed since the start of the review (regardless of whether the owners have performed their reviews).

From the Manage page, select the Teams/Groups with links or sharing links to review tile. The Review column displays the team or group's real-time review status. Use this information to send an Ask owner(s) review notification between your scheduled reviews.
