Symptoms

When trying to migrate a Nintex Workflow, ShareGate Migrate displays the following error:

We cannot guarantee that the dates in workflow action conditions will be accurate with your current Nintex version. We recommend upgrading to version {0} or higher to ensure everything works.

Details

In some older Nintex versions, dates in conditions for actions in on-premises environments were converted from local format (i.e. Eastern Standard Time, Pacific Standard Time, etc) to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

UTC is non-timezone specific, it is a time standard that is used to keep time scales synchronized across the world.

Solution

To avoid this issue, we recommend you upgrade to a recent Nintex version.

If your source server is using an old version of Nintex, ShareGate Migrate will not convert the source date and the date will be transferred incorrectly (with an hour difference equal to the offset to UTC). Newer Nintex versions are in UTC, so this is not an issue.

These are the known versions that have date conditions in UTC:

  • SharePoint 2007: All

  • SharePoint 2010: 2.5.1.0

  • SharePoint 2013: 3.2.1.0

  • SharePoint 2016: 4.1.1.0

Note: As of November 2021, ShareGate Migrate is no longer able to provide full support for SharePoint Server 2003 and 2007, which are past the end of their Microsoft support lifetime. For more information, see Contact our technical support team.
