Symptoms
When attempting to migrate a Managed Metadata to a Microsoft 365 public site, the following message appears:
ShareGate Migrate is unable to copy term group properties due to Microsoft 365 public site limitations.
Error code
AN-024-002
Details
This error happens because Microsoft 365 public sites do not support certain functions in the term store. ShareGate Migrate cannot copy the term group properties because Microsoft 365 public sites do not allow this operation.
ShareGate Migrate is able to copy the term group but without its properties.
Solution
You can manually configure the term group properties in the Microsoft 365 global administration.
