Symptoms
When trying to import from Google Drive, one of the following errors is shown:
You have been denied access during a Google Drive API call: {0}.
The file or folder that you are trying to delete has been shared with you. Only the owner of the file or folder can delete it.
Error code
Any error code ending in -241 or -244
Details
The request that was made to Google's API has been denied because some permissions were missing. The most common reason why Google forbids a call is if your rate limit has been reached, in this case we will try the operation again after a certain time period. If you are forbidden from deleting a file or folder, the message will clearly indicate that this is the case.
Solution
The error message that ShareGate Migrate will display contains information on why Google has forbidden the access to its API. If the message does not help you can take a look at the documentation provided by Google on the different error messages, and the suggested actions to take.
If you are forbidden from deleting a file or folder, and you absolutely want the file to be removed from your migration, you will need to open Google Drive and remove the shared item from your account.
