Any error code ending with: -157

Details

This error occurs when ShareGate Migrate is unable to determine the version of the SharePoint server. This can happen either if you are trying to connect to a server that is not a SharePoint server, or if Client Integration has been disabled in your SharePoint Central Administration.

Solution

You can first make sure that your SharePoint server version is one of the versions supported by ShareGate Migrate.

If you are trying to connect to a non-SharePoint site, please note that this is unfortunately not supported.

If you are using a supported SharePoint version, make sure that Client Integration is enabled in your SharePoint Central Administration with the following procedure:

  1. Connect to your SharePoint Central Administration and click on Security.

  2. Click on Specify authentication providers.

  3. Make sure the selected Web application in the drop-down is the right one.

  4. Click on the Default zone.

  5. In the Client Integration section, click Yes, and then Save.
