When attempting to promote a site, ShareGate Migrate displays the following error message:

A site collection with this URL already exists.

When you promote a site, the app must create a new site collection to merge it into. ShareGate Migrate cannot use an existing URL for that new site collection.

Change the URL in the promote options and retry.
