Microsoft is retiring several legacy SharePoint services from Microsoft 365 on April 2, 2026, including the SharePoint Workflow Engine and the SharePoint Add-in model.
As a result:
Nintex Workflows will stop working.
Nintex Forms that are in Classic or Old Responsive formats will stop working.
SharePoint 2013 workflows will stop working.
On-premises SharePoint servers will not be affected by this change.
If you are running legacy workflows and forms in an on-premises SharePoint environment, they will continue to work as expected, but you won't be able to migrate them to a Microsoft 365 destination.
Note: Nintex Workflows and Nintex Forms were retired by Nintex on December 31, 2025, and they no longer support them.
What this means for your ShareGate migration
Since the services they rely on are being retired, these elements (Nintex Workflows, Nintex Forms, and SharePoint workflows 2013) will no longer work, and their migration to Microsoft 365 destinations will not be supported after April 2, 2026.
