Automate with our chatbot
Activate the ShareGate Teams chatbot to automatically send purpose tag notifications to owners when they create a new team or group.
To send purpose tag notifications automatically with the ShareGate Teams chatbot:
Open Management.
Select Policies from the sidebar.
Expand the Purpose tags section.
Toggle on Automatically ask owners.
Tip: Create and edit purpose tags to best suit your environment.
Ask owner(s)
Send a notification to ask owners to apply a purpose tag to their teams or groups.

Manually apply purpose tags
Apply or change purpose tags yourself from the Manage page.
