What's fixed
We found that copying messages with multiple large attachments over 3MB with Copy mailboxes could cause these larger attachments to become corrupted at the destination.
This issue may have affected mailbox migrations since 9 January 2024.
While we have not entirely resolved the problem, we implemented the following improvements to reduce incidences and ensure you can have visibility while we work on a complete solution:
ShareGate's migration tool copies attachments in a single message sequentially instead of simultaneously, significantly reducing the chances of large attachments getting corrupted.
The app reports errors on these corrupted large attachments in the migration report.
Groups' permission levels should no longer get downgraded to Web-only limited access with Copy teams.
