An Azure storage account temporarily stores your data during an Insane mode migration to Microsoft 365.
For more information, see Insane mode for Microsoft 365.
Symptoms
You run a migration in Insane mode to a Microsoft 365 destination, and you get one of the following errors:
You are not authorized to perform this operation. Please make sure that you have entered the correct storage account name and a valid access key.
Unable to connect to the Microsoft Azure storage account. The storage account 'account_name' was not found.
Could not connect to the specified Microsoft Azure storage account. Reason : [reason]

Any error code ending with -205
Details
These errors indicate that ShareGate's migration tool could not correctly link to the Azure storage account you specified in the application's settings.
Solution
There are a few possible resolutions to this issue:
Make sure the storage account and access key are valid.
Follow the procedure to obtain the storage account and access key described under Manage your storage account in Microsoft's article, Create a storage account.
Re-enter the storage account name and access key in the migration tool's settings.
If you still get an error message, make sure you copy the entire access key.
Regenerate the access key
In your Azure Management Portal, click Storage.
Select the name of the storage account to open the dashboard.
Click Manage Keys.
Click Regenerate.
Copy the new access key into Sharegate.
Use the default storage account
Using a custom Azure storage account does not provide significant advantages over the default storage provided by Microsoft with your tenant. We only recommend using a custom option if you need to have long-term access to your Manifest Packages.
To change your Azure storage to the default storage, see Microsoft 365 configuration.
