Symptoms
When you migrate one or more OneNotes, you may notice that the files with the .onebin extension do not migrate to the destination.
Details
The .onebin file extension was developed by Microsoft for OneNote files associated with SharePoint 2003, SharePoint 2007, and SharePoint 2010.
The .onebin files cannot be migrated due to a restriction with SharePoint 2003, SharePoint 2007, and SharePoint 2010.
Solution
You may be able to download the .onebin files manually with the OneNote tool and copy them over manually. For more information, you can consult this Microsoft TechNet forum discussion.
