ShareGate Migrate can crawl through your selected target to list all your orphaned users. This list is retrieved from the SharePoint User Information List. When the report is finished running, you can take action on these users.

Prerequisites

Note: Site collection admin permissions are required even if you have higher admin privileges like SharePoint admin or Global admin permissions. For more information, click Microsoft administrative permissions.

Tip: To manage all your site collections, you can connect to your central admin or admin center with SharePoint admin, Farm admin, or Global admin permissions.

How-To

  1. Click Security in the sidebar.

  2. Click Orphaned user report.

  3. Select the target of the report.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Set your options.

  6. Click Schedule or Run now.
    Your target's orphaned users will be displayed in the report.
