When you migrate your content in Insane mode to Microsoft 365, ShareGate Migrate sends your data to an included Azure storage, which is then imported to SharePoint online.
This process significantly speeds up and improves the migration.

Details
The structure is created in your destination environment by ShareGate Migrate. Then, the data from the source (documents and metadata only) is uploaded to the Azure blob storage, and Microsoft 365 imports that data to your destination. As usual, ShareGate Migrate will report any errors or warnings while Microsoft 365 is importing the data, should they occur.
By default, Azure imports all the content into an Azure storage account included with your tenant. You can also use your own configured Azure storage account.

Azure security
Microsoft Azure uses AES CBC 256 Standard encryption. AES encryption is such a successful method that it is used by some of the world's largest companies to protect their data. With AES encryption, both the sender and the receiver of the data must have the same key to decrypt and read data. For more information, see Encryption and security.
Microsoft 365 import progress
To track the import process from Azure in your destination environment, ShareGate Migrate will display a progress bar at the top of the results in your migration report.
Note: If the progress bar appears frozen, it does not always mean that your migration is not processing in Microsoft 365. Sometimes ShareGate Migrate can lose the connection to Azure. We recommend that you check your network when this happens to make sure ShareGate Migrate can adequately communicate with Microsoft 365. If you see no progress after 24 hours, there could be an issue with the queue. Though the progress bar will not go away in the migration report, you can try to reduce your migration scope and re-attempt the operation when this occurs. It is not possible to see the import progress in Azure, even if you use your own Azure storage account.
