Patch 17.0.1
Updated this week

Version: ShareGate's migration tool 17.0.1

Release Date: 6 June 2022

What's fixed

  • We fixed an issue with Import from Google Drive where changes in the Google APIs might cause the last version of a Google Sheet, Doc, or Slide to be corrupted at the destination.*

  • When you migrate a site to Microsoft 365, ShareGate Migrate will preserve the source sharing setting that can allow members to invite other members at the destination.**

  • We solved an issue that could leave your destination site more accessible from the site sharing settings (web request settings) after merging from a SharePoint 2013 or below source site into a SharePoint 2016 or above destination site with Copy structure and content.

* Any Google Drive migrations performed with ShareGate Migrate version 17.0 and below might have been affected.

It does not affect prior versions of the file, only the latest one. If you did not have versioning turned on at the destination, you might have corrupted files.

The file types that might have been affected are Google Sheets, Doc, and Slides. Other file types might still be affected, though less likely to be.

If you performed a Google Drive migration in the last month, please verify that your files are migrated correctly at the destination. If you encounter corrupted files in your environment, you should be able to restore your data in Google Drive within 30 days if you have already deleted them.

** The setting Allow members to invite others to the site members group from your site's Access Requests Settings in your site collection permissions could be enabled at the destination if you migrated your sites to Microsoft 365 with ShareGate's migration tool 17.0.

To fix this, you can manually update the setting in each site collection or re-migrate all your site collections with only Permissions selected in the Configuration section of the Copy options. You will be re-migrating your site's structure and settings without your lists and libraries' content, workflows, etc.
