Understanding Warnings and Errors
When running promote on many sites, it is normal to see many warnings and errors as your results load.
When you get an indication to Show item-level filter option to display the details, click on Filter and check the Show Item-Level in the Options section to see details regarding errors or warnings on list items and documents. Learn more.
Warning
A warning indicates that your item type was successfully migrated to the destination but a modification needed to occur to get it there, or something needed to be left out. A common example is a list that migrates successfully without a source field, because that field is not supported in the destination environment.
When warnings occur, it is almost always because something is not supported between versions, and the best solution is to manually create a substitute in your destination environment.
Error
An error indicates that ShareGate Migrate was not able to migrate the item type to the destination. Errors can be complex, and always have associated error codes and articles to help you work through why the error occurred and indicate if there is a solution or workaround.
