Workspace overview
To access the Workspace overview page, click your workspace's name in ShareGate Home, then select Workspace settings from the dropdown menu.
Workspace details
You can review your workspace information, including:
Workspace name: Only a workspace admin can change the workspace name on this page.
Workspace ID: You can click on the Copy button to copy your workspace ID to your clipboard.
Your plan: Shows the ShareGate subscription you have and the number of activations for ShareGate Migrate, if it includes it. You can also see the workspace's creation date and the total number of members.
Seat allocation mode
Note: Seat allocation mode is only available on workspaces with a ShareGate Enterprise subscription.
Only a ShareGate workspace admin can change the seat allocation mode.
The Seat allocation mode card shows how machine activations are currently distributed in your workspace, and lets you switch between the two available modes:
Shared (default): Activations are drawn automatically from the workspace pool when a member connects. No admin action is required.
Per member: Admins must assign a number of activations to each member before they can use ShareGate Migrate. Members with no assigned activations see a message directing them to contact their admin.
To switch modes, lick Switch to Per member or Switch to Shared.
A confirmation will appear. Click Confirm to apply the new allocation mode.
When you switch from Shared to Per member, an activation is automatically assigned for each activation used by the workspace members.
For example, if you have a member with ShareGate Migrate activated on 2 machines, they will have 2 activations assigned to their account, and you will need to assign an extra activation if they want to activate a third machine after switching to Per member.
