ShareGate Home is your central hub for accessing ShareGate, managing your account details, and viewing your workspaces and subscriptions.
Note: ShareGate Home cannot be accessed from China.
You can access ShareGate Home from:
The Login link at the top of the ShareGate Website.
The ShareGate Home address, https://home.sharegate.com.
Select Home in the sidebar, from anywhere in ShareGate Protect.
Your account button at the top in ShareGate Migrate. Click your profile, then select Account settings from the dropdown.
ShareGate Home's landing page
ShareGate Protect and ShareGate Home share the same navigation and header, so moving between them feels like one continuous product.
Your Home page greets you by name and adapts to your workspace. If you haven't started using ShareGate Migrate or connected a tenant to ShareGate Protect yet, Home shows quick-start options for both. As you use ShareGate, Home reflects your progress and surfaces relevant next steps instead.
Governance snapshot
The Governance snapshot section on your Home page gives you an at-a-glance view of your tenant's governance health, powered by ShareGate Protect.
Discover your tenant
A simplified card view of the quantity of different Microsoft 365 workspaces your tenant contains, such as Teams and SharePoint sites. Click a card to open a pre-made report for that workspace type.
Governance Insights
A summary of your tenant's governance health, organized into four categories: Reduce costs, Prevent oversharing, Control sprawl, and Improve Copilot results. Each category card shows your top active insights and, where applicable, your potential monthly savings. Click a category card to open the Insights page filtered to that category, or select View all insights to see everything at once.
Remediation impact
Track the governance actions you've taken in ShareGate Protect and see how your tenant's risk has changed over a selected time period. Use the dropdown to adjust the time window (the default is Last 30 days). Each tile shows what was resolved (secured, removed, or reclaimed) versus the current total, along with a trend percentage. Click the resolved count to open the Activity log filtered to those specific actions.

ShareGate workspace
A ShareGate workspace is a hub for ShareGate's account-based licensing.
A workspace is automatically created when you register for a trial with a new ShareGate account, or when you purchase a ShareGate subscription.
Only workspace admins can manage the workspace's members, subscription, and settings.

ShareGate roles
ShareGate workspaces have two roles: admin and member. Both roles can be assigned to an unlimited number of users.
Admin
Admins have full control over the workspace. An admin can:
Admins manage access to ShareGate products.
Admins can manage ShareGate Migrate activations.
Admins have control over settings and subscriptions.
Admins can invite new members as admins or contributors.
There is no limit to how many admins you can have in your workspace.
Every workspace needs at least one admin.
Workspace contributor
These members have access to the ShareGate products assigned to them and can use ShareGate Migrate activations available to them. They cannot modify workspace settings, including the subscription, or change another member's access.

Contributors and admins have access to Account settings and a Workspace overview.
Admins have access to additional admin settings in the sidebar and workspace dropdown menu.
